Located in North Brisbane, Good Growin’ Mushrooms is led by Sof Kubler and focuses on growing more than 13 varieties of specialty mushrooms. After leading the farm team at Little Acre Gourmet Mushrooms, Sof took over their fresh mushroom growing in October 2023 and set up Good Growin’ just down the road!
Good Growin’ is passionate about introducing people to the wide variety of mushrooms that can be cultivated, with unique flavours and textures that are more delicious (and nutritious) than your average grocery store varieties. Good Growin’ uses 100% Australian inputs, focusing on reclaiming agricultural residues in their mushroom substrate. They are working hard to define a regenerative approach to mushroom farming, which is unique style of farming, especially in Australia.
Varieties Available:
Woodland Mix: Weekly rotating selection of 4-5 varieties of mushrooms, often including Chestnut, Shiitake, Lion’s Mane, Coral Tooth, Oyster varieties, Golden Enoki and Black Pearl Kings.
Oyster Mix: Weekly rotating selection of 3 varieties of oyster mushrooms, often including Blue, Chocolate, White, Pink, Gold, Italian and Silver Shimeji.
Lion’s Mane: Buttery, Soft and Creamy
Coral Tooth: An Australian native variety of Lion’s Mane
Chestnut: Nutty, Crunchy & Caramelised
Pioppino: Firm, Earthy and Nutty
Shiitake: Umami, Buttery and Earthy
King Brown: Meaty, Firm and Mild
