Regenerative Farmhand

About the role

Reporting directly and working collaboratively with the farm owners, the role is a full-time Permanent Salary based position that requires a high level of self-motivation, management, autonomy, and fitness. You will have the opportunity to assist in elevating our regenerative management systems to further build landscape, animal and business health.

You will be responsible for:

-In collaboration with the owners, The development and implementation of an annual and seasonal grazing chart for cattle and poultry across the two properties, Valeview and Kilbrogan.
- Working in partnership with the owners to design and implement fencing and water infrastructure to further enhance the holistic planned grazing program.
- Supporting our day-to-day farming operations of both our breeder and processer cattle herds, and our pastured poultry enterprise.
- Cattle movements under a holistic planned grazing chart.
- Pastured poultry rotation and daily egg collection.
- Management of cattle and poultry feed, from ordering from mill to distributing to livestock.
- Data entry and record keeping for all livestock statistics and required Safe Food Programs. This includes poultry production data, and data relating to cattle (breeding, growth rates, calving, joining, etc.)
- Implementing Natural Sequence Farming principles and regeneration projects across the property to help in reaching our 100year holistic vision for our landscape.
- Availability on weekends for farm events and specific projects will on occasion be necessary, however this will be discussed well prior to these occurring.


Artisan Butcher

About the role

We are seeking an innovative, artisan butcher who is keen to join our merry band of collectivised, regenerative food producers. We are a unique paddock to plate farming business, focusing on the production of beef, pork, and poultry in partnership with, and in a responsible way to, the environment. We pride ourselves on not only the quality of our care for our animals and landscapes, but also the quality of our produce and the care for our community of consumers.

You will be responsible for:

This role is based on farm in our #4Goods Meathouse Boning and Packing facility and requires a high level of butchery skills in breaking down whole animal carcasses into vacuum packed meal ready portioned cuts. Consistency, presentation, and creativity is a must for this position. The ability to work both on your own and as a team member will be vital, as all business elements of the farm and the Meathouse boning and packing facility interacts with each other.
You will need to be fully qualified with an ability to impart your knowledge onto someone else, as there will be opportunities for having apprentices, and also facilitating workshops and educational programs in the butchery.
