Artisan Butcher

About the role
We are seeking an innovative, artisan butcher who is keen to join our merry band of collectivised, regenerative food producers. We are a unique paddock to plate farming business, focusing on the production of beef, pork, and poultry in partnership with, and in a responsible way to, the environment. We pride ourselves on not only the quality of our care for our animals and landscapes, but also the quality of our produce and the care for our community of consumers.

This role is based on farm in our #4Goods Meathouse Boning and Packing facility and requires a high level of butchery skills in breaking down whole animal carcasses into vacuum packed meal ready portioned cuts. Consistency, presentation, and creativity is a must for this position. The ability to work both on your own and as a team member will be vital, as all business elements of the farm and the Meathouse boning and packing facility interacts with each other.
You will need to be fully qualified with an ability to impart your knowledge onto someone else, as there will be opportunities for having apprentices, and also facilitating workshops and educational programs in the butchery.
Produce Packer
About the role
Are you fast and efficient with your fingers? Do you like working with a small close knit team? We are chasing a part-time produce packer, to work in both our #4Goods Meathouse packing alongside our butcher and other produce packers, and in our egg grading shed, cleaning, grading and packaging our pastured eggs. The role at this stage is a 2 month position, with the possibility of an ongoing casual role. Minimum hours each week are 15, under the Pastoral award rate, $29.33/hr. Mon-Fri (generally 3 x 5hr days/wk.).
